Anil Ambani owned Media and entertainment company Reliance Entertainment has elevated Shibasish Sarkar to the new role of group CEO — content, digital and gaming. Sarkar was earlier a chief operating officer of the studio.
Sarkar had joined Reliance Entertainment in 2007 as its CFO. A chartered accountant by training, he has about 25 years of operational and financial experience across movies and TV production and circulation, digital content and gaming. Sarkar has directed the company’s tries to deliver television, digital and animation content to GEC (general entertainment channels) and OTT (over-the-top) video streaming platforms.
Asylum Entertainment Group:
Steve Michaels has developed new parent company Asylum Entertainment Group, under whose banner his The Content Group will now sit. Michaels has named longtime colleague and Content Group president Ryann Lauckner to an elevated performance as president and chief strategy officer of Asylum Entertainment Group. Veteran producer Jodi Flynn has been tapped to succeed Lauckner as president of The Content Group. Flynn and Lauckner each report to Michaels.
